Jeffrey Murdock Adams has been involved in AppleMark
sustainability education and applied ecological design for over half a decade. Growing up exploring the forests, dunes, marshes and beaches of Cape Cod instilled an early love and appreciation for the mystery, beauty and complexity of the natural world that carryÕs forth in his personal and professional pursuits to this day. Jeffrey is a sustainability consultant, ecological educator, and permaculture practitioner, recently working with John Todd Ecological Design, Inc on a prototype Eco-machine to degrade Crude Oil as well as Green Man Landscaping in Durango, CO to blend permaculture into the businesses operations

Weaving together nature awareness, traditional ecological knowledge, modern science, and hands-on applications Jeffrey designed his own Interdisciplinary Studies BS in Indigenous Technology at Humboldt State University (HSU), Arcata, CA.  Jeffrey coined the term Indigenous Technology as being the practical application of knowledge of a place to help meet the needs of that place. Through this framework, Jeffrey sees the possibilities for developing societies that function in harmony with natural systems blossom by blending traditional practices, modern science, and collective vision based on commonly held values and ethics.

Jeffrey has done extensive work with the Campus Center for Appropriate Technology (CCAT) and the United Indian Health ServicesÕ Potawot Health Village (PHV). Jeffrey served as volunteer, maintenance, and eventually residential Co-Director of the CCAT demonstration home and education program where he helped to transition the program to a new site, establish site infrastructure, and develop and facilitate many learning opportunities. Jeffrey was a speaker at the 2004 Education for Sustainability conference and the HSU Sustainable Campus Summit that he helped to organize.   Having hands on experience in project design, planning, management, and implementation as well as professional training in a variety of fields, Jeffrey brings a unique perspective and solutions oriented attitude to every project.

Kendall Blair McKinley is deeply committed to working toward bringing humans and the natural world to greater health and wholeness through their interrelation. Kendall received a BA in Art and Activism from New York UniversityÕs Gallatin School of Individualized Study in 2005. She is skilled as a visual artist, writer, dancer and choreographer. Kendall is a certified Hatha-Vinyasa yoga instructor, is certified in Permaculture Design, and has trained in the Tamalpa InstituteÕs Expressive Arts Therapy training program in Northern California.
